Southern-Asian restaurant Peached Tortilla is now open at the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. The restaurant’s second location will feature the restaurant’s first-time breakfast tacos, along with other favorite dishes. It’s found at the East Food Court across Gates 7 and 8.
“We made it a point to not dumb down the menu,” owner and chef Eric Silverstein told Eater. “We’re offering the greatest hits off our street food menu.”
For the mornings, there will be those breakfast tacos with fillings like brisket, eggs, crispy pork belly, and Japanese sweet potatoes, along with two other dishes: avocado toast and brisket hash. Lunch continues with other tacos, including a pad Thai version, bowls with rice, vegetables, and that 45-minute egg, the JapaJam burger, bacon jam fries, and more. Scope out the full menus below.
Peached’s newest location is part of the airport’s major dining revamp, which will also include branches of Austin restaurants like Tacodeli, Jo’s Coffee, Flyrite Chicken, JuiceLand, and Hut’s Hamburgers.
Peached Tortilla owner and chef Eric Silverstein is in the middle of working on a cookbook for the restaurant. Get Peached: Recipes and Stories From Peached Tortilla is expected to publish in spring 2019. When it’s published, the airport location will sell the book.
Peached’s airport breakfast is served from 4:30 to 10:30 a.m. daily, and lunch from 10:30 a.m. to the last scheduled flight.
Silverstein opened Peached as a food truck in 2010, turning it into a brick-and-mortar restaurant in 2014 on Burnet Road. He also opened event venue Peached Social House in 2016. The food truck still roams the city.
