— Pizzeria brewpub Pinthouse Pizza took home a bunch of medals at the World Beer Cup Awards, which took place on TK, May 3 in Nashville. The brewery won gold for its Green Battles APA, silver for This Year’s Crop Wet Hop, and bronze for Bailing Room IPA.

— Travel Channel host and chef Andrew Zimmern shared his love for Barley Swine. He wrote that the Bryce Gilmore Texas restaurant is “one of my Austin faves, love that place.”

— There was a tiny fire at lakeside coffee shop Mozart’s last night. An electrical outlet caught on fire, but the staff put the flames out.

— Austin olive shop Con’ Olio is throwing a children’s’ culinary camp this summer with cooking classes and meals. Classes range from breakfast for dinner, bento boxes, naan pizzas, and more. It runs from mid-June to mid-August for children between the ages of 7 to 11, and 12 to 15.
