— Southside Market & Barbeque, the Elgin-based sausage and smoked meats spot, expanding with a third restaurant up north of Austin in Hutto. It’ll be found in the Co-Op District sometime in the spring of 2019. There’s already a restaurant in Bastrop, which opened in 2014.

— For Cinco de Mayo (which takes place tomorrow, Saturday, May 5), rideshare company Lyft is offering free rides for the noted drinking holiday. People can claim their free ride online with Sober Rides TX.

Chronicle visited Indian-Texas fusion truck trucks Lotus Joint and Kurry Takos. The former focuses on Indian ingredients with its corn or wheat tortillas (made with spices too), and the latter adds curries to parathas which are used as taco shells.

— Dripping Springs-based bottled rainwater company Richard’s Rainwater changed up its branding to a look that features raindrops with various shades of bright blue. It also renamed its sparkling rainwater formerly known as Happy Water to the more succinct Sparking Rainwater.
