— San Antonio chef Jason Dady is opening a new barbecue restaurant in the Alamo City, Alamo BBQ Co., which is now open. It’s taking the place of his other restaurant, Bin Tapas Bar, on 511 East Grayson Street. The change was needed. “There’s not a lot of money in tapas after you pay rent, labor, and all those things that go into operating a restaurant,” he told the San Antonio Express-News. On the other hand, “there’s always demand for good barbecue.” This is his second barbecue restaurant, after Two Bros. BBQ Market with pitmaster Laura Loomis. She will be in charge of the new restaurant’s pits as well.
