Craftwork, a combination coffeeshop and coworking space, is coming to the Domain Flatiron building currently under construction at the Domain. It’s expected to open in fall 2019.

The Austin location will consist of a 1,200 square foot coffeeshop with 1,200 square feet of coworking space. It will feature espresso drinks from coffee beans sourced from around the world and roasted in Fort Worth. There is also tea, and other locations have teamed up with local partners to offer pastries and chocolate. The coworking space has the typical amenities: desks, conference rooms, and call booths.

CEO and Founder Riley Kiltz, who grew up just north of Austin, told Eater that the rising tech scene (which attracts freelancers), lack of coffeeshops up north, and a bit of hometown nostalgia drove the expansion to Austin. “Craftwork’s heartbeat is the draw people out of isolation and into community with one another,” he said. “It may sound idealistic, but we’ve seen simple, consistent intentionality in service in our coffee/coworking model accomplish our goal.”

Craftwork already has two locations in Fort Worth, with a third one on the way. The Austin cafe and office will be found within the Flatiron Domain building.
