Bird Bird Biscuit, the biscuit sandwich restaurant in Cherrywood, is hosting its final pop-up this month before it opens in June. It’ll take place on Saturday, May 19, at 2200 Manor Road at co-owner Ryan McElroy’s Thunderbird Coffee from 9 a.m. until sold out.
The pop-up will have only one item: a new creation called “dough doughs.” The sweets consist of rounds of biscuit that are fried and tossed in cinnamon sugar (the restaurant calls them “biscuit-doughnut holes”).
While it gets ready for its summer opening, Bird Bird Biscuit shared a preview of its menu with Eater, which spans biscuit sandwiches to those dough dough desserts. There are also plain biscuits with gravy or jam, sides (house pickles, hash browns, and a slaw salad), and non-alcoholic drinks. Scope the full menu, from co-owner Brian Batch, below.
Bird Bird Bacon: crispy bacon, organic egg over medium, cheddar, bacon-infused chipotle pesto
Lovely Day: house-made chicken sausage, organic egg over medium, cheddar, pecan basil pesto
Childhood: roasted peanut butter, milk chocolate chips, banana, and honey
Queen Beak: spiced and breaded chicken thigh, cayenne black pepper honey, bacon-infused chipotle mayo
Lush Life: fried eggplant, house-made pickled onions, fresh mozzarella, fresh basil, garlic tomato jam
The restaurant also shared pictures of the festive interior and sign.
