The Goodnight, the fancy bowling alley and bar in North Shoal Creek, is closed, according to its website. The 2700 West Anderson Lane establishment noted that the weekend shutter happened “after failed attempts to find a solution with the landlord,” and pointed out that many places have opened in the area. Read the full note below.

According to a Yelp user, The Goodnight announced its closure with a notice on the door but didn’t notify people who placed advanced reservations.

The Goodnight is still opening that 506 West 6th Street location in the Blueprint building in downtown Austin, which was announced in 2015. The new Goodnight will feature an updated food menu, as well as karaoke rooms, virtual reality games, and more.

Joining the bowling alley and bar at the West Sixth address are Japanese restaurant TenTen and nightclub Mayfair. Everything is set to open this summer. The Denver-based fancy bowling alley and entertainment playground Punch Bowl Social is also opening a downtown Austin location right on Congress Avenue.

The Goodnight’s Shutter Announcement

To all of our valued patrons, we are very sorry to announce that we have decided to leave our Anderson Lane location after failed attempts to find a solution with the landlord. The entertainment scene has drastically changed in north Austin since The Goodnight first opened its doors in 2012 and this particular location has been affected by all of the great concepts that have since opened in the area. The Goodnight will reopen at 501 West 6th this summer with a new menu, tablet scoring, virtual reality, karaoke, and more. Thank you to everyone that supported us throughout the past 5+ years, most importantly our wonderful staff. See Y’all soon!
