North Carolina-based breakfast chain Rise Biscuits & Donuts is opening its first Austin location on campus next week on Wednesday, April 11. The daytime counter-service spot will be found on 2522 Guadalupe Street.
Rise’s menu focuses on classic doughnuts (sprinkles, chocolate icing, jelly), and fancier ones (crème brûlée, pineapple upside-down, maple bacon bar). Then there are the biscuit sandwiches, with fillings like fried chicken tenders, country ham, lamb, and fried green tomatoes. These are also available on Plus there are chicken strips, salads, cheese-stuffed tater tots, and chips.
The shop is hosting is opening party on Saturday, April 14, where ten percent of the sales will go towards private school Kirby Hall. Daily hours for Rise are from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. The space will include indoor and patio seating.
The Austin location is part of Rise’s major expansion plans. There are 17 locations right now across southern America, with one also slated for Fayetteville, North Carolina, plus more for Colorado, Florida, and California.
