Zen Japanese Food Fast closed up its restaurant on 3423 Guadalupe Street, according to Reddit. According to the note left on the door of the North Campus establishment, the owners “have sold this location to a local restaurant group. We look forward to seeing them thrive and be apart [sic] of this neighborhood.”

That local restaurant group is Korean food truck Korean Komfort. The truck is known for its bibimbap, bulgogi, and kimchi fried rice.

Original owners Min and Paul Cho opened the Korean food truck during South by Southwest in 2014 on East 6th Street. They sold the truck to to Marie and Chad Kershner, where the menu remained mostly the same. Eventually, it relocated to its current address on 2512 Rio Grande Street, right off campus.

Zen still has still two other locations in Austin, one on West Anderson Lane and the other within University of Texas Austin’s student activity center, plus an additional one in Missouri.
