Hot chicken trailer Tumble 22, from Salty Sow chef Harold Marmulstein, opens its new brick-and-mortar restaurant today, Monday, March 5, on 7211 Burnet Road in Crestview. T22 Chicken Joint’s menu will look similar to the food truck’s, with the addition of margaritas and salads.

The main focus of Nashville-inspired hot chicken. The fried and drenched poultry can be served bone-in or boneless in several ways, from plates, sandwiches, tenders, and oysters. Spice levels range from very mild to the very spicy. The restaurant space includes outdoor seating and televisions.

The restaurant is open starting at 11 a.m. daily. The West 6th food truck will remain open as well.

T22 announced it was taking over Twisted Root Burger’s Co.’s space last fall. The hot chicken trailer originally opened on West 5th Street last spring and relocated over to Star Bar later that summer. It took over the prime food truck spot that used to be home to Valentina’s Tex Mex BBQ and then Violet Taco, its taco trailer.
