Filipino Restaurant Launches Brunch on Easter

— Filipino restaurant Be More Pacific is getting into the brunch business starting on East Sunday on April 1 with a bunch of egg dishes and mimosas. The meal, served buffet-style, will be available on Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

— Interior Mexican restaurant El Naranjo is also adding a new daytime menu. It will start serving lunch on Tuesday, April 3. Expect to find mole somewhere on the menu. Going forward, it will be available from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.

— Austin restaurant Alli Mexican Cuisine won one of financial services company Visa’s cashless challenges. The $10,000 will help the restaurant transition to a cash-free model. It’s one of 50 businesses that won.

— Bryan, Texas winery Messina Hof is adding canned wine to its lineup. Available will be the sweet red and dry rosé in white and purple/red cans in packs of four, with a third type of wine to come later. The drinks can be purchased at the winery’s three locations, and eventually will be found in retail shops.

— Jester King Brewery’s farm continues to grow with the addition of a hops farm, focusing on Neo1, Saaz, and Perle.

— Downtown restaurant Péché chef John Lichtenberger shared his favorite Austin restaurants with Full Service Restaurant News. He’s a fan of pizza and pastrami spot Pieous, Vietnamese/Chinese restaurant Hao-Hao, and others.

— Cuban restaurant Cuba 512 added an indoor carpeted play area for children with toys, books, and a television. The restaurant also added more kid-friendly dishes.
