Winflo Osteria, the Clarksville Italian restaurant, is closing. Its last day of service will be on Friday, March 30.
Winflo’s bungalow space at 1315 West 6th Street will be taken over by someone from New Orleans, according to a statement, but there are no further details on what that will entail. It will remain a restaurant though.
Co-owner Michael Dickson opened Winflo Osteria in 2013, dishing out pasta, pizza, wine, and weekend brunch. It also includes the intimate Listen at Winflo space downstairs, which hosts musical performances.
Nearby, Wu Chow’s dim sum chef Ling Qi Wu is opening her own dim sum restaurant, opening next month.
Winflo Osteria’s Shutter Announcement
Winflo Osteria opened as a family-run restaurant in 2013 and we are proud to have served Austin for the last 5 years. We are thankful and grateful for our customers, neighbors, staff, family, and friends for their support. After much deliberation, we’ve decided to close the restaurant with service concluding on March 30. We are transitioning to a new operator from New Orleans with strong restaurant experience who has great plans for our little bungalow and we are very supportive of the next chapter of this special place.
