Skull Mechanix is the latest brewery to open in the St. Elmo area. The brewery and tap room is located at 1005 East St. Elmo Road.
Skull Mechanix has menu of seven beers on tap, including a saison, Irish stout, and a couple of IPAs. It also has a couple of ciders on draft from Argus Cidery and a cherry vin (fruit wine). Beers are also available to take home in 32-ounce crowler cans.
The tap room is looking to host food trucks (comfort food G’s 183 Pit Stop is in the current rotation with burgers and fried pickles), and is dog friendly. The brewing company has something of a harder-core vibe, evidenced by the skull on the logo and taps, and demonic artwork by local tattoo artist Jason Jones.
Skull Mechanix is open from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, 5 p.m. to 12 a.m. Thursday and Friday, and 1 p.m. to 12 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Skull Mechanix joins the neighborhood of fellow breweries St. Elmo Brewing Co. and nearby (512) Brewing Company.
