— The ever-adorable Hello Kitty Cafe Truck is coming back to Austin on St. Patrick’s Day, Saturday, March 17, bearing ginormous cookies and pocket pies. Plus it will carry its usual petit fours, macarons, and other retail items inspired by the Sanrio character. It will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Domain on 11410 Century Oaks Terrace.

— Emmer & Rye’s Kevin Fink shared his love of grains with Food Republic. While geeking out about grain varieties and fun ingredients like yaupon, the chef also talked about the restaurant’s new outpost, Henbit, within downtown food hall Fareground, and the evolution of his first Austin restaurant.

— A new development slated for Cedar Park will feature 100,000 square feet of restaurants and bars.

— Hill Country’s Wedding Oak Winery won several medals during the Texsom International Wine Awards last month. It received two silver medals for its Marsanne and Tempranillo Reserva, and two bronze medals for its Tioja and Sangiovese.
