— Danneel Ackles, actress and one of the co-founders of Family Business Beer Company, talked to Austin Woman about the brewery and her family’s move to Austin. She wanted to make sure that the brewery was family and environmentally-friendly, especially because those are Austin values to her. Her husband Jensen Ackles, who is also a co-founder, is one of the co-stars of Supernatural. They’re open to a second location of the brewery somewhere else in the city.
— McGuire Moorman Hospitality’s beverage director and master sommelier June Rodil shared her favorite rosé destinations in Austin with Vogue. This means Justine’s Brasserie, Mattie’s, Whole Foods, and several of the MMH’s restaurants, including her namesake one, June’s.
— The Mueller location of the Texas Farmers’ Market will open on Wednesday evenings starting in May. Its hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. found over in the Browning Hangar.
— Texas distillery San Luis Spirits (which produces Dripping Springs vodka and gin) is merging with Empresario Brands, forming a new beverage company: Dripping Springs Distilling. Additional spirits include Republic whiskey and tequila, Paula’s Texas Spirits, 1876 vodka and bourbon, Martine Honeysuckle Liqueur, Pepe Zevada Z tequila, and Republic Spirit Blends.
