The world’s greatest athletes are heading to Pyeongchang, South Korea for the Winter Olympics this year, and everyone wants to witness the magic, from figure skating, snowboarding, skiing, curling. Whether you’re a casual viewer or a die-hard fan looking to root for your favorite countries, Eater presents the best bars and restaurants to watch the Olympics in Austin, where viewers can also indulge in drinks and food.

That means watching the games at sports bars like Lavaca Street Bar’s ongoing specials to the opening ceremony parties at Live Oak Brewing and Friends & Allies Brewing. Plus there are other sports bars that will most likely air the games as well. Grab cocktails and cheer the athletes on. Both the original downtown and South Lamar bars are the places to be for all Winter Olympics viewing this month. The bars will consistently air the games, as well as serve $4 shots dubbed ‘Murica and frozen Hurricane cocktails named The Tanya Hardicane.

Live Oak Brewing Company

Along with showing the opening ceremony, the longtime brewery will air the rest of the Winter Olympics in its taproom. Expect beer and food from on-site German comfort food trailer The Black Forest.

The Govalle brewery is hosting a special watch party for South Korea’s opening ceremony to kick off the Olympics, and staying in the sports spirit by airing the rest of the games throughout the month, with plenty of beers at hand.
