Detroit-style pizzeria Via 313 is teaming up with New England seafood-obsessed Garbo’s for the pizzeria’s monthly pizza. What this means is oh-so-very decadent lobster-topped pizza, available just in February.
The Garbo’s Queen Lobster Pizza is a small Detroit-style pie baked with bacon, cheese, and arugula, all of which is topped with butter-poached lobster and Garbo’s special seasoning. There is a gluten-free version as well.
The $23 pizza dish will only be available at the Oak Hill (6705 Highway 290) and North Campus (3016 Guadalupe Street) brick-and-mortar restaurants until the end of the month on Wednesday, February 28.
Via 313 often collaborates with local restaurants for its monthly pizza specials. Recent dishes include Juniper-cured and La Barbecue-cold smoked ham, brisket from Black’s Barbecue, Holy Roller’s with meatloaf, Bonhomie’s with shaved ham, ramen toppings from Michi Ramen, and many others. There was even a pizza cross-over with Home Slice at the South Congress Avenue pizzeria’s turf last fall.
Garbo’s is still planning on opening a downtown food truck. Via just moved its original trailer further east on East 6th Street, in front of its future third brick-and-mortar restaurant.
