Lin Asian Bar, billed as an Asian bar with dim sum, is coming to the former Rounder’s Pizza at a small shopping center at 1203 West 6th Street. At the helm is chef Ling Qi Wu, who works at Wu Chow and formerly was at La Traviata. A recent Instagram post indicates the restaurant will open in March.
Update: The grand opening is now April 1, per another Instagram post.
Update, March 23: Make that Sunday, April 22 now.
The website has applied for a liquor license, so booze will be in order. Beyond that, few details are available about the restaurant. The Facebook page reports Chef Ling, who grew up in Fuzhou City, China, has been working in New York City’s Chinatown restaurants and at La Traviata, but makes no mention of Wu Chow. It also mentions respect for healthy cuisine and Chinese traditional cooking prepared western-style.
Hours posted on the Facebook page are 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., then 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. during the week (though that extends to midnight on Fridays), then an extra hour of lunch on the weekends (from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.) and then 5 p.m. until midnight on Saturday and 10 p.m. on Sunday.
Eater has reached out for any further details, and will update this post as necessary.
