It’s almost here: at last, Easy Tiger is opening its highly anticipated North Austin bakery and beer garden on Saturday, December 8. The Linc location (6406 North Interstate 35 Frontage Road) is much larger than its other two siblings, which means there is ample space for exploring, dining, and drinking.
Eater photographer Courtney Pierce toured the new Easy Tiger. Along with the sprawling beer garden with 150 outdoor seats (many picnic tables), there’s the dedicated coffee drive-thru, stage, plenty of ping-pong tables, and lots of free parking. The covered awning features hanging festive flags, including ones that feature very happy tigers.
Inside Easy Tiger, there’s indoor tables, a pastry case boasting of pains au chocolat, tiger claws, and more. Plus there’s space for the commercial bakery, plus fermentation and charcuterie production areas. Windows allow diners to look into these rooms as well. Easy Tiger’s new restaurant space was designed by Furman + Keil with interior design by VeroKolt and construction by IE² Construction.
The general menu remains similar: pastries, pretzels, sausages, sandwiches, boards, beers, whiskeys, and cocktails. Weekend brunch will begin on Saturday, December 15.
The bakery will be open from 7 a.m. to midnight Sunday through Wednesday, and then from 7 a.m. to 2 a.m. Thursday through Saturday. The beer garden will be open from 11 a.m. to midnight Monday through Wednesday, 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Thursday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. to midnight Sunday.
