Austin Is the Top Beer City in Texas

— The Austin-area has the most of breweries in the state of Texas, as determined by news channel KVUE through the Brewers Association’s database. There’s a total of 37 breweries within the Austin area, out of 275 in the state, plus there’s always more to come.

— Northwest Hills Indian-Nepalese restaurant Saffron, known for its momos, tandoori meats, and barbecue lamb, is expanding with a second location out in Westlake at 3201 Bee Cave Road. There is no opening date as of yet.

— For the holidays, pizzeria and bakery Pieous is taking a winter break from Christmas Eve on Monday, December 24 through Monday, January 7, 2019.

— Round Rock restaurants and bars will be able to serve alcohol until 2 a.m., after the city council approved of the ordinance this week.

— Top Japanese restaurant Uchi will let guests book 10 p.m. reservations on the weekdays and 11 p.m. reservations on the weekends starting on Wednesday, January 2, 2019.
