Home Run Dugout, a bar and restaurant with an augmented reality batting cage, is coming to the home of the the Texas minor league baseball stadium Round Rock Express. Located in the Dell Diamond at 3400 East Palm Valley Road (in the Fun Zone by right field), the restaurant is opening on Friday, April 12.

The menu at Home Run comes courtesy Ryan-Sanders Hospitality. Co-founder Nick Hermandorfer shares that the menu is still under development, but will include “a combination of upscale ballpark classics and Tex-Mex menu favorites (like margaritas and queso.)”

The other draw at Home Run is the “soft pitch” batting cage, aimed to make the experience more approachable. Like the Round Rock Express, Home Run Dugout is owned by Ryan Sanders Baseball, that Hall of Fame pitcher Nolan Ryan founded with Don Sanders in 1998. Per an article in the Austin Business Journal, this is a proof of concept for possible expansion.

The entertainment venue and restaurant will be open by reservation or on days that the Round Rock Express are playing, even if the team is on the road, from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. and also Thursday through Sunday.

This article has been updated to include Home Run Dugout’s official opening date and address.
