High 5, a combination bowling alley, restaurant, and bar, is now open in the former space of The Goodnight, also a bowling alley, restaurant, and bar. Located at 2700 West Anderson Lane in North Shoal Creek, High 5 opens today, November 9, with proceeds from opening weekend benefitting CASA of Travis County.
This is the third location of High 5, which was started in Lakeway by former UT player Scott Emley (the second location is in Bettendorf, Iowa). It will serve many of the same burgers, bacon-wrapped jalapenos, and salads, while adding new items like a chicken fried steak, duck sliders, and a skirt steak. In terms of drinks, there will be cocktails, beer, and wine.
The 15,000 square-foot space also includes eight bowling lanes, karaoke, virtual reality, and the latest in arcade games plus a private event space. There’s also an outdoor patio and a mural from Rory Skagen, who painted the Greetings from Austin mural downtown. The venue is 21 and up after 10 p.m.
High 5 has big plans for its opening weekend including giveaways and specialty menu items.
The Goodnight shuttered in May of this year. It’s supposedly still moving forward with a downtown location on West Sixth Street, though that was supposed to open this summer.
