Popular Austin-based movie theater and restaurant chain Alamo Drafthouse is opening a new theater up in Cedar Park. It will be found at the mixed-use development Presidio Cedar Park at Parmer Lane and Ranch Trailers starting in summer 2020.
There aren’t too many details available about the new Alamo Drafthouse Cedar Park, though there is something planned for the lobby. That could mean some sort of restaurant or bar concept (Alamo South Lamar has the Highball bar, restaurant, and karaoke space; Alamo Mueller has the carnival-themed restaurant and bar Barrel O’ Fun, Alamo Slaughter Lane has tequila and mezcal bar 400 Rabbits.)
Much like the other locations, expect a similar food and drinks menu from executive chef Brad Sorenson and beverage director Bill Norris, including 40 beer taps. Elsewhere, it will feature ten movie screens, 950 reclining seats, and a premium large format theater.
The first Alamo Drafthouse opened in 1997 on Colorado Street and expanded with six Austin-area theaters, plus locations throughout Texas, Virginia, Colorado, Missouri, California, New York, Nebraska, Arizona, North Carolina, and Minnesota.
