Just in time for the holiday travel season, Colorado-based salad restaurant Mad Greens opened its Austin-Bergstrom International Airport location this week. The restaurant is found across from Gate 16.
The airport also announced the opening of the concession stand the Jet Set within its South Terminal (which is completely separate from the main terminal, aka the Barbara Jordan Terminal). The Jet Set will serve food from New Orleans-inspired diner Sawyer & Co. and general spot Opal Divine’s. It will also feature a full bar with cocktails and tapped beer, as well as grab-and-go food.
On the Mad Greens’ menu are its signature or customizable salads full of vegetables and proteins like grilled steak, piri piri shrimp, and tofu; along with grain bowls, wraps, juices, grain bowls, and hummus.
This is Mad Greens’ seventh Austin-area location, with the others found in Domain Rock Rose, South Austin, Lakeway, Round Rock, Cedar Park, and downtown Austin. This airport expansion is part of Austin-Bergstrom’s complete dining and retail rehaul, which most recently included the opening of Tacodeli.
