— Food Network star and cookbook author Ina Garten is coming to Austin behind her next book, Cooking Like a Pro. The Long Center event features a discussion with the Barefoot Contessa, as well as a Q&A, on Tuesday, February 5, starting at 7:30 p.m. Tickets, which begin at $49.50, go on sale on Friday, November 16 starting at 10 a.m.
— Ramen Tatsu-ya is introducing a limited vegan ramen during these cold days. The kabocha ramen is made with vegan broth, kabocha squash, kale, corn, sage, and togarashi. It’s available at all three ramen shops.
— Austin now has a new boozy day: November 16 is Texas Sotol Day, in honor of Dripping Springs distillery Desert Door’s first anniversary. To honor the day, Desert is hosting an anniversary party with cocktails, music, dishes from Mexican restaurant Licha’s Cantina, and more on that day from 7 to 10 p.m.
— Austin Food & Wine Festival announced its next dates: Friday, April 26 through Sunday, April 28, 2019.
