Yes, Franklin Barbecue pitmaster and owner Aaron Franklin is revealing his steak secrets through his next cookbook, Franklin Steak, and the cover is here now, courtesy of publisher Ten Speed Press. Check it out below.
Through the book, Franklin and his returning co-writer Jordan Mackay will go into the science and technique behind cooking perfect steaks. Topics covered will include dry-aging meats, how to build grills (naturally, as Franklin is fond of building smokers), and various cuts of steaks, as they explained to Texas Monthly.
The two last worked together on the Franklin Barbecue cookbook (Franklin Barbecue: A Meat-Smoking Manifesto), which published in 2015. Franklin Steak will publish on April 9, 2019, and the $29.99 hardcover book is already available for preorder on Amazon.
Franklin is, as usual, keeping himself very busy. There’s Franklin Barbecue’s breakfast taco truck that’s forthcoming for the East 11th Street restaurant, and his smoker-building business.
