Vegan burger company Next Level Burger is opening in the Whole Foods headquarters on North Lamar on Friday, October 12. This is the first restaurant opening of the major renovation going on at the store, located at 525 North Lamar Boulevard.

Next Level Burger, which is entirely vegetarian, serves several kinds of burgers and other accompaniments. Patties include black bean and veggie, quinoa and chia seed, a “savory meaty patty,” veggie sausage, and umami mushroom and quinoa, and can be customized (tempeh bacon is an add-on option).

There are also sandwiches, veggie hot dogs, fries, salads, and dairy-free shakes. The restaurant will offer seasonal specials, as well.

This is the eighth location, and the first store in Texas, for the Oregon-based chain that started in 2014. Five of these locations are also in a Whole Foods or a Whole Foods 365. Next Level Burger in Austin will be open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
