The Line Austin Hotel opened its second restaurant, Dean’s One Trick Pony, today, Wednesday, October 24 in at 111 East Cesar Chavez Street in downtown Austin.

The casual restaurant and bar wide-ranging menu includes double-burgers, wedge salads, disco fries, crab rangoon, and shrimp cocktails. On the sweets side, there are soft serve and pies. Of the latter, there’s a giant smoked pie meant to serve two people.

As for cocktails, there are refreshing drinks like the frozen Aperol pink lemonade (Pink Pony), its take on a rum punch (Captain Fantastic), and a tequila-watermelon concoction (the All-Time High). Scope out the full menus below.

The restaurant is being overseen by the hotel’s overall executive chef Justin Ermini, pastry chef Ashley Whitmore, and beverage director Brian Floyd.

The funky space is designed by Sean Knibb, featuring a pink-gray mural by Drew Liverman. Plus there’s a shuffleboard table.

Dean’s is currently open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily, with expanded hours to come in November. In light of the current water situation, the restaurant is using boiled water for all beverages, food prep, and cleaning. People going to the restaurant will also receive free bottles of water.

The Line Austin Hotel already includes chef Kristen Kish’s solo restaurant Arlo Grey and Los Angeles-based coffee shop Alfred. Next to come is rooftop restaurant P6, which still doesn’t have a chef.
