Haymaker, the favorite casual bar on Manor Road, is opening an offshoot restaurant at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. It will be taking over Earl Campbell’s Sports Bar (which will close) across from Gate 24, and is set to open in early 2019.

Haymaker’s airport location will have a similar menu to the original restaurant, serving sandwiches, hamburgers, french fries (including poutine). There are also more than 30 taps of craft beer. As with most restaurants in the airport, it will be operated by Delaware North.

The space will retain its sense of local pride with an interactive wall of memorabilia, and feature several TVs with a focus on sports games. There will also be a stage for live music performances, and bar and booth seating for 74 people.

The team behind Haymaker first opened sports bar and restaurant Black Sheep Lodge on South Lamar in 2010. They followed with Haymaker, which opened on Manor Road in 2015.

This is part of a massive ongoing renovation at the airport. Still to come are Hut’s Hamburgers, Jo’s Coffee, salad shop Mad Greens, Flyrite Chicken, Italian restaurant Mandola’s, and Hat Creek Burger Co.
