Sloan + Parker, a wine bar specializing in unique bottles, is heading to Steiner Ranch in early November. The family-friendly bar will be located at 2900 North Quinlan Park Road, taking over the former space of Kawa Asian Kitchen.
In addition to wines, Sloan + Parker will serve craft beer and a limited menu of charcuterie, crudite, and small plates. Owner Katie Koran plans to serve unique wines like biodynamic and organic varieties that people might not have heard of. “My goal is to help people branch out,” she explained.
The wines will also be available for retail sale too, along with specialty goods like imported pastas, fig jam, and olive oils. Koran also hopes to start a wine club in 2019.
Koran is a California native, food blogger, and Steiner Ranch resident (Sloan and Parker are the middle names of her children). While working her full-time job in construction, she often wished for a neighborhood place to get out of the house. Her vision for the space is to become a place where can go work during the day or get to know neighbors over a glass of wine. To that end, the space is designed like a home with a pantry, dining room, wet bar, and dog-friendly patio.
