Pokeatery, Austin's latest poke restaurant, is now open in Mueller. It debuted in December 2017 on Barbara Jordan Boulevard. This is the restaurant’s first location outside of California and its third ever in the country.

Pokeatery's menu features customizable poke boxes (as opposed to the usual bowls). Ingredients include various bases (rice, citrus kale, sweet potato chips), mix-ins (seaweed, onions), sides (edamame, crab salad), proteins (ahi tuna, octopus, tofu), sauces (spicy ono, wasabi citrus), and a lot of toppings from avocado, spam, mango, masago, to kukui nut. The restaurant also combines poke with that other trendy food item, toast.

As for desserts, Pokeatery boasts of true Dole Whip, the ever-popular pineapple-flavored soft serve. It’s served on its own or it can be used in a float. The poke restaurant also offers beer, cider, pineapple juice, and soda.

Pokeatery’s hours are from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day. There’s a fourth Pokeatery slated for San Francisco.
