Detroit-style pizza trailer Via 313 is leaving its original home on East 6th Street in front of Violet Crown. This means there will be a food truck hole on East 6th Street starting in February. Never fear: Korean-Mexican fusion spot Chi’lantro is filling that space with its second permanent food truck starting on Friday, February 2.
That particular Chi’lantro’s menu will feature quesadillas for the first time ever, stuffed with stuffed with meats like spicy chicken or ribeye beef, cheese, peppers, onions, and guacamole. Then there are the usual kimchi fries, nachos, tacos, Korean fried chicken wings, and queso. Read on for the full menu below.
Owner Jae Kim reveals that the food truck will be open late until 2 a.m. He also noted that this is Chi’lantro’s return to East 6th Street (it hadn’t been there since 2015).
Pizza lovers, don’t worry: Via isn’t moving too far. The pizza truck is relocating down the street to 1802 East 6th Street starting on Thursday, February 1. It will be in front of its future brick-and-mortar home, which used to be Collide ATX.
Chi’lantro is celebrating its 8th anniversary on February 1. There are already four brick-and-mortar restaurants, and one food truck, in Austin, with a fifth proper restaurant to come in Mueller.
