Via 313’s original Detriot-style pizza slinging trailer on East 6th Street is moving from its home outside of bar Violet Crown. Its last day of service will be on Wednesday, January 31.
However, the trailer from owners Brandon and Zane Hunt isn’t going too far. It will be found in front of its future third brick-and-mortar home at 1802 East 6th Street starting on Thursday, February 1.
Via 313 took over restaurant/bar/music venue/event space Collide ATX, which closed in December. The space works to Via’s advantage since it used to be pizzeria Burn in a former life. The new Via 313 will operate much like its other restaurants: lunch and dinner menus, full bar, and ideally shorter ticket times.
Via 313’s other trailer remains parked in the back of Craft Pride on Rainey Street (that’s the one that dishes out brunch pizzas on Sunday), and its two proper restaurants in Oak Hill and on Guadalupe. The brothers revealed that they are looking to open a Cedar Park branch of Via 313 to Eater last year. They also run East 11th Street bar Nickel City with Detroit food truck Delray Cafe.
