— Downtown fancier barbecue spot Lamberts expanded its Sunday brunch into Saturday this month. Along with the schedule changes, there are new dishes like the barbecue breakfast platter, which comes with brisket or hot links plus eggs and breakfast potatoes, the Benedict with Canadian bacon. It begins at 11 a.m. on the weekends.
— In honor of the one-year anniversary of the Women’s March and the second march that is taking place on Saturday, January 20, New Waterloo restaurants are donating partial sales from the day towards the Girls Empowerment Network. This includes ten percent of brunch sales from Goodall’s Kitchen, La Condesa, Le Politique, Cafe No Se, Central Standard, and Sway, and then five percent of all sales from La Matta, Le Politique Patisserie, and Manana, all until 3 p.m.
— It looks like dive bar and pizza spot King Bee is getting into the baked goods game for sibling bar the nearby Rio Rita. It baked up cinnamon rolls recently.
— Oskar Blues Brewery is sponsoring the 3M Half Marathon this Sunday. The brewery will provide beers for the finishers’ beer garden at the end of the race.
— Tarka Indian Kitchen is expanding with its eighth restaurant in Cedar Park. It’ll be found at 11066 Pecan Park Boulevard starting sometime in March.
