— Tex-Mex taco restaurant El Chilito is honoring Tejano singer Selena with its brunch series that continues on Sunday, January 14 at the Manor Road restaurant. Bidi Bidi Brunch Brunch includes music, costumes, mimosas, brunch tacos, and more. It runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

— In honor of New Year’s resolutions, salad drive-thru Baby Greens started its 28-day healthy eating challenge, which began earlier this week on Wednesday, January 10. The daily tips, recipes, workouts, and the such will be shared on the restaurant’s Instagram account. Everyone that participates will be entered to win a year’s worth of free salads.

— Mexican restaurant Fonda San Miguel’s guest chef series resumes this year with chefs from Mexico restaurants on the Latin America’s 50 best restaurants of 2017 list. First, chef Pablo Salas of Toluca, Mexico restaurant Amaranta will cook up on Sunday, February 11. Later this year, chef Jorge Vallejo of Mexico City restaurant Quintonil (also on the same best restaurants list will make dinner on Sunday, September 30. The dinners are $150 per person, which includes wine pairings. The seatings begin at 6:30 p.m.

— Nutty Brown Cafe’s Round Rock move is back on track after the planning and zoning commission approved of a necessary zoning change that allowed for the amphitheater.

— Whole Foods Market’s global wine buyer Devon Broglie was named as the new chair of the Court of Master Sommeliers. Joining him is Napa Valley wine bar Compline co-founder Matt Stamp as the new vice chair.

— Personal finance technology firm SmartAsset named Austin as the ninth best city for coffee in the country. This is based on the city’s 22 coffee shops, six coffee roasters, average Yelp ratings, and Google searches for “coffee.”
