Bagel Brunches at Jeffrey’s, and More A.M. Intel

Bagel baker Alex Manley will run monthly bagel brunches at Jeffrey’s this fall. The family-style bagels will include smoked fish, scrambled eggs, pastries, and Stumptown coffee. The brunches will take place on Sunday, September 24; Sunday, October 29; Sunday, November 26; and Monday, January 1, 2018. It runs from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tickets are $40 with an additional $60 for caviar service.

— Director and actor Tyler Perry left a $500 tip on a $27 bill after dinner with singer Janet Jackson at Green Vegetarian Cuisine in San Antonio this week.

— Soursop chef/owner Teddy Bricker is one of Zagat’s national 30 Under 30 with his Southeast Asian-inspired menu at St. Elmo's Brewing Co.

Edible Austin’s annual chef auction is back again, where people are able to bid on intimate cooking experiences with the city’s best chefs. This includes Aaron Franklin, Tyson Cole, Jesse Griffiths, Callie and Philip Speer, and others. The auction takes place on Thursday, October 5.

Food & Wine’s best Oktoberfests roundup includes AustOberfest at Scholz Garten, which features beer and sausages.

— Bottled Bloody Mary mix company Barbecue Wife is adding a smoked honey margarita mix to its lineup.

Upcoming Filipino restaurant Be More Pacific is hiring for all front and back of house positions. Applicants are encouraged to show up at the North Shoal Creek restaurant during the weekdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

— Dirty Martin's is expanding its Guadalupe restaurant space to add a music stage, picnic tables, and more television screens.
