It’s Italian Cucina is South Lamar’s newest restaurant and market, serving Northern Italian cuisine. It debuted yesterday, Monday, September 11. The new spot helmed by owner Al Fini, who closed his original East 7th Street location It’s Italian Market and Cafe to open the new South Austin expansion.

The menu at It’s Italian Cucina focuses on Northern Italian fare, from veal chops, fish, pastas, cheeses, and sweets. For drinks, there are prosecco-based cocktails available by the glass, carafe, or liter, and wine.

Sunday brunch dishes, like French toast, omelettes, and brunch stew, all come with fruit and truffle parmesan potatoes. That is served from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. For lunch, it’ll make paninis and other midday specials from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the weekdays.

The restaurant also includes a market component, where it will sell speciality Italian goods, like olive oils, wines, balsamic vinegars, truffles, and more.

It's Italian Cucina is open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and until midnight on Friday and Saturday.
