Driftwood barbecue mainstay Salt Lick is expanded into University of Texas at Austin's Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium. It will debut in time for the beginning of football season on Monday, September 4.
Salt Lick will operate two different stands, both serving barbecue sandwiches like pulled pork and sliced brisket, along with nachos and smoked sausage dogs. The first will be found on the first level in section 30, the second on the third level in section 6.
DKR Stadium’s food options are already full of local restaurant vendors, including Torchy's Tacos, Mighty Fine Burgers, Hat Creek Burger Co., and Austin's Pizza.
Salt Lick is expanding into the Dallas area, opening its third restaurant in Grapevine. There is the original Driftwood location, as well as the Round Rock one. It is also expanding its Austin-Bergstrom International Airport outpost with a much larger spot.
