East side cafe and bar Cenote opens its second location in Windsor Park on Monday, August 7. For that first week, it will be open for brunch only, expanding into normal hours, including dinner, on Monday, August 14.
Because it's taking over an old Fran's Hamburgers' building on Cameron Road, it will look different than the original Cenote. It’s larger, which means it can offer more beer taps, That is along with wine, coffee, and the same food menu full of breakfast, lunch, and dinner dishes like tacos, burgers, quesadillas, and more.
Co-owner Cody Symington wanted to expand into Windsor Park because it "feels like old Austin," he previously told Eater, "and we think it will be a supportive neighborhood to a locally owned and operated business like our's."
The initial hours for Cenote’s Windsor Park location will be from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, and then 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the weekends. Regular hours are from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. on the weekdays, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
Nearby, Henri's owners are opening their own casual restaurant, bar, and coffee shop, which doesn't have a name yet.
