Rosen’s Bagel Company opens its long-term shop serving out of Wright Bros. Brew and Brew on Wednesday, August 23, after several months of what founder Tom Rosen calls “the pop-up grind.”
The menu includes a straightforward selection of New York-style bagels that can be customized with creative schmears, like a basil lemon option or caramelized shallot and bacon, and toppings like house lox. The schmears also come in “skinny” or “NY” portion sizes (thin or thick) Rosen plans to have a rotating selection of breakfast and lunch sandwiches, like The Secret Garden with hummus, sun-dried tomato tapenade, and a microgreen salad.
Guests seeking the bagels and sandwiches will be able to place orders from Brew and Brew’s baristas at the counter, and everything is made in the back kitchen. See the full offerings below.
Founder Rosen (whose official title is chief bagel officer) still hopes to eventually move to a brick and mortar, but is excited to provide bagels daily and develop a larger-scale menu. He adds, “To us, it's a natural fit of coffee (or beer) and bagels all in the comfy confines of Brew and Brew.”
The full menu will be available from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. (except Tuesdays, when Rosen’s — but not Brew and Brew — is closed), with limited offerings later on in the day and night. Though the pop-ups will cease during this time, catering is available.
Brew & Brew is going through exciting changes of its own. West side counter service spot sister restaurant Better Half is scheduled to open in the fall or winter of this year.
