Downtown Austin gets a new upscale cocktail lounge with the opening of Moonfire Lounge in the Warehouse District on Colorado Street. The upscale bar focuses on drinks, wine, and small bites, as well as dancing events and parties.

The cocktail menu includes classics drinks like martinis, Old Fashioneds, margaritas, etc. Then there are the house ones, called Moon Cocktails (a play on its name), like the Chocolate Moontini with creme de cacao and chocolate syrup, and the Blu Moon with blue curacao. It also features a dedicated sparking cocktail section with French 75s, bellinis, and the mango sparkler.

For food, there are plates like charcuterie and cheeses sourced from Antonelli’s Cheese Shop, nuts, olives, and Brazilian chocolates from Rio Bites. Eventually, the menu will expand to include quiche and caviar.

Moonfire’s space features gold light fixtures, reclaimed wood details, electric fireplace, and VIP dance area. It’ll host DJs during the weekend. Take a look through the bar below.

It’s owned by Formula Expo, Inc., which throws the Blu Party during Formula 1 United States Grand Prix car race in late October. Managing the bar is Chelsea Thomas.

Moonfire is currently open from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. daily. It’s celebrating with a party on Saturday, September 9 at 8 p.m.
