Mueller’s dining scene is expanding quickly, and with the growth comes two new restaurant expansions of coffee shop and cocktail bar Halcyon and sister pizzeria beer bar Stella Public House. Both will be found in the Aldrich Street District opening this September.
Halcyon’s Mueller location will have a larger kitchen, which will cook up breakfast, lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch. It’ll offer a similar menu to the downtown location: DIY s’mores, caffeinated cocktails like the chocolate espresso martini, tacos, French toast, sandwiches, and more.
Stella Public House focuses on Neapolitan-style pizzas and wood-fired dishes like wild mushroom macaroni and cheese and lamb meatballs. The menu also includes a long list of beers, beer cocktails, and house-made cheeses. The Forno Bravo Modena oven uses oak and pecan.
Executive chef Roland Aguirre, who oversees both San Antonio kitchens, will supervise both menus. The spaces are designed by Maker Architects, which worked on South Congress Hotel and Vinaigrette, along with interior designer Joel Mozersky.

Company Texas Zebo opened Halcyon’s first location in downtown Austin in 2002. There are locations in San Antonio, Dallas, and San Diego. Stella opened in San Antonio in 2013, followed by San Diego. Both Halcyon and Stella are opening in Houston and San Marcos, California too.
Also found on Aldrich Street are the recently-opened Bao’d Up, Alamo Drafthouse’s sixth location, B.D. Riley’s second bar, the impending Colleen’s Kitchen, and others.
