The Halal Guys, New York City’s famed food cart-turned-global food empire, is now open on the Drag near campus. To further celebrate, the Middle Eastern fast casual spot is offering its entire menu through UberEats just for the week starting today.
Users will be able to use the standalone food delivery app from ride-hailing company Uber to order Halal Guys’ dishes, everything from falafel pita sandwiches to gyro ice platters, delivered straight to their doorsteps. Delivery hours are as follows:
Monday, July 10: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.; 5 to 7 p.m.
Tuesday, July 11: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.; 5 to 8 p.m.
Wednesday, July 12: 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
While the Halal Guys declined to share its initial hours, it is open for walk-up orders starting today until its grand opening on July 15. Then, the restaurant’s full operating hours are from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. every day.
This is Halal Guys’ first Austin location. It was looking for the perfect location in the city in 2016, and settled on Guadalupe Street, in the former home of I Luv Video.
