Michi Ramen, one of Austin’s go-to noodle soup spots, quietly opened another takeout ramen shop up in Pflugerville. This is its fourth Austin-area location.

Much like the South Lamar location, the northern location features only takeout and delivery (via Favor) ramen bowls. What makes it stand out is that it will eventually include a drive-thru section, which means customers will never have to leave their cars for easy ramen.

Michi’s Pflugerville menu includes the namesake michi with diced chashu and shoyu tonkotsu, the fiery jungle one with Thai chilis and a lemongrass tonkotsu, and the meaty Texas with smoked barbecue pork ribs, thick toast, and spicy barbecue sauce.

“Pflugerville is a growing city with a strong sense of community that has interested us for a while,” general manager Frederick Lee explained reasoning behind the expansion to Eater. Its hours are from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.

Michi is also bringing back its failed yakitori restaurant Yatai in the form of a takeout trailer outside of Drag dive bar Hole in the Wall. The original Yatai took over East Side King’s former digs in the bar, but then it was quickly converted to a third Michi Ramen in 2016. There is no opening date as of yet.
