Someone was allegedly attacked with a hot sauce bottle after singing a song during karaoke at Mexican restaurant La Catedral del Marisco on Oltorf Street last Thursday, according to CBS Austin.

The accused, Elsa Martin Garcia, verbally critiqued the performance of the victim (who is not named) out loud. When the victim sat down at a restaurant table, the news channel reported:

[...] Garcia "charged" at her and hit her in the head with a glass bottle of hot sauce. Officers found a broken bottle of hot sauce on a table near the entrance. Police say the victim had a one inch laceration above her left eye and on the left side of her lip.

There is cell phone footage of the altercation, but it hasn't been released. Garcia is being charged with the second degree felony of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Both women were regulars at La Catedral’s weekly karaoke nights.
