Pinthouse Pizza is looking to the suburbs for its third location, and the brewpub settled on Round Rock. The expansion will look and feel the same as the others, a family-friend brewery and pizzeria focusing on brewing beers and slinging pies.
“We know there is a demand for a brewpub,” Nicolaas Van Biene, one of the co-owners and director of marketing, explained to Eater, “in this great and ever-growing area.” After fielding a lot of expansion requests, Round Rock seemed to make the most sense.
Pinthouse first opened on Burnet Road in 2012, followed by the South Lamar one three years later. Director of Brewing, Joe Mohrfeld, director of brewing, used to work at Odell Brewing Company in Colorado. Trevor Kelly oversees the beer production at Burnet and and Jacob Passey for South Lamar.
Pizza’s in the air up in Round Rock: PS 35, a pizzeria and bar with pie maker Clint Elmore, is opening on Tuesday, May 23..
There’s no word as to when the new Pinthouse will open as of yet, but it predicts sometime in 2018. While a fourth location isn’t in the works, it won’t rule anything out.
