Culinary world hero Alton Brown is eating his way through Austin right now. For his first stop, he declared that Veracruz All Natural made “best breakfast taco I’ve EVER had,” as he wrote on Twitter. It looked like he opted for a migas taco, which was a good pick.
Before that, to fuel up for the day, the noted coffee fiend picked up a macchiato (not his usual cortado) at Fleet Coffee Co. He also put out a call for the city’s best sangrias. Brown created his own hashtag, #ABRoadEatsAUS, so that his fans could follow along with his Austin dining adventures.

The chef, television star, cookbook author, and James Beard Award winner is in Austin for a stop on his Eat Your Science tour tonight, Friday, April 28. Tickets for the ACL Live at the Moody Theater show are still available.
Brown’s EveryDayCook book tour brought him to the city last October, after which he enjoyed three margaritas.
