Restaurant, Bar, and Coffee Shop Is Coming to Aloft Austin Downtown Hotel

Aloft Austin Downtown is opening up soon right on Congress and 7th Street. With the new hotel will come American restaurant, coffee shop, and lounge Caroline. It all opens along with the hotel, on Tuesday, July 11.

The Caroline proper features the main restaurant with all-day dining and drinks. The casual Upstairs at Caroline is the second floor lounge with communal seating, fire pits, games, and bar and drinks menus. Then there’s the grab-and-go bakery and coffee shop with caffeinated and boozy drinks, juices, pastries, and cookies.

While the executive chef of Caroline isn’t announced yet, the hotel is currently hiring for an executive sous chef and sous chef, along with the restaurant manager.

Caroline (the restaurant hours) are from 6 a.m. to midnight Monday through Thursday, 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. Friday through Saturday, and 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday. Upstairs at Caroline's hours are from 4 p.m. to midnight Monday through Thursday, 2 p.m. to 2 a.m. Friday, 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Saturday, 11 a.m. to midnight Sunday. The coffee bar's hours are from 6 a.m. to noon daily.

Congress has a handful of coffee shops, too: Houndstooth, two Caffe Medicis, and Hideout. In terms of hotel dining, nearby is the JW Marriott Hotel with three restaurants.
