Barbecue trailer LeRoy & Lewis, run by the former pitmaster of Freedmen’s Evan LeRoy, is now open after a mid-March soft open. The barbecue trailer will eventually make way for a barbecue restaurant in the Hill Country next year.
LeRoy focuses on serving unusual meats and cuts than the usual barbecue joint. The soft open menu includes smoked beef cheeks, lamb belly, and brisket cookie sandwiches. Read on for the full list of smoked meat offerings and more.
Before this, the barbecue trailer has been testing out its meats and sides all over the place with many pop-ups, like Salt & Time, tailgates at Olamaie, Brotherton Barbecue, Austin Beerworks, and others.
Rounding out the LeRoy & Lewis team are managing partners Nathan and Sawyer Lewis, who will become LeRoy's brewer and manager respectively.
The barbecue truck’s hours are from 11 a.m. until sold out, Thursday through Sunday.
