— Weather Up is hosting a fundraiser for Planned Parenthood on Sunday, February 19th. All proceeds of the $60 ticket, which comes with food and drink, will go towards the nonprofit. There are other activities, including a reader, silent auction, and donation-based whiskey tasting.

Austin Monthly tackles breakfast this month, covering pastries, tacos, doughnuts, brunches, and more.

Texas Monthly barbecue editor Daniel Vaughn hit up Brooklyn-based meaty pop-up Carnal while it set up shop at Parlor & Yard, where he found an excellent beef rib.

— Texan and musician Willie Nelson enjoys eggs for breakfast and chicken fried steak.

— Zagat highlighted some of Austin’s absolute best restaurant serves in town, including staffers from Dai Due, Uchiko, and others. Perla's server Donovan Calabaza recounted the time he waited on actor Keanu Reeves.

— Whole Foods now offers up a self-serve mochi bar, which includes both Austin locations in downtown and the Domain.

— While Satay's Foo Swasdee shuttered her restaurant last summer and is currently working on a replacement pop-up kitchen Sumptuary, she released a line of bottled Thai cooking sauces, Dr. Foo's Kitchen, with five available varieties.

— Two restaurants in Dripping Springs were burglarized this week, Crepe Crazy and Oak Creek Cafe.

— Austin DJ Miguel Angel recounted that time he got stabbed by a sword and dagger by former Moloko Bar partner Charlie Valentine to Vice.
